The UK government allows UK charities to claim back tax on donations that are made by UK tax payers. This is a type of tax relief called ‘Gift Aid’. Gift Aid is given by the government at the rate of 25p for every £1 donation.

So, if you donate £10, the total amount will actually be £12.50 at no extra cost to you. Charities need to be registered with HMRC and donors need to be UK taxpayers in order to be eligible for Gift Aid. If Gift Aid is added to a donation, and charities opt in to the Gift Aid service we will collect it from the government on behalf of the charity.

Gift Aid service is only available to UK registered charities.

We charge a service fees of 5% on the total claims approved by HMRC for charities registered for the Gift Aid service.
